I love reading posts or watching youtube videos about people's everyday makeup. I think it's the best way to hear about some great products, as usually if people are wearing them every day they must be good. So I've decided to talk about the products I've been using on my face recently. I'm a lover of makeup, but I'm also a poor student, so basically all my products are from the high street.
Witch Mattifying Moisturiser
Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Moisturiser
Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer
Benefit The Porefessional
Starting with prepping my face I've got a few products I use. As someone who has oily skin and suffers from spots I've been trying to use products that will help combat the oil and minimise the breakouts. I use the Witch moisturiser on my T Zone where I get oily, and my Simple one on the rest of my face. I'm not sure how good of a job it does at mattifying as I still get quite oily, I'm unsure on the primer as well as it hasn't seemed to stop my breakouts. I like to use Porefessional on my oilier areas when I want my make up to last that little bit longer.
Collection Sheer Loose Powder in Barley There
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer in Ivory
Maybelline FIT me Concealer in 15
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
For my everyday makeup I like to use a BB cream as I don't like a heavy converge and as this Maybelline one is designed for oily skin I find it works nicely on my skin. It is slightly too dark for me, but its workable and as it's already the lightest shade I have to make do. For concealer I love Maybelline FIT me, I love the consistency and find it a good coverage and colour for me. I've also been using the Dream Lumi Touch for under my eyes as it's a highlighting concealer, although it works I haven't been blown away by it and will probably try something new when it runs out. As an oily skinned girl powder is a must, and at the moment I've been using the Collection loose powder to set my make up and then the Rimmel Stay Matte over my oily areas to help keep me looking less like a disco ball.
Sleek Face Form Palette in Light
Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 01
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer is a new purchase of mine and I absolutely love it. I'm a pale girl so sometimes find bronzers can be too dark on me, including the one in the Sleek palette, however this one is the perfect shade, great for contouring and a really subtle colour, without any shimmer or shine. My favourite blush that I really like using is the Natural Collection one, I'm not a huge blush fan and can get a bit intimidated by some of the brighter colours so this one is perfect as its a dusky peachy pink shade that seems to work great on my skin colour. Although the bronze in the sleek palette is a little bit too dark for me I do like the blush and the highlight, and I use the highlight most days to brighten up my face slightly as I usually go for a matte look across my face to combat the oil.
MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Undress Me Too
Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil in Dark Blonde
Maybelline the Colossal Go Extreme Volum' Mascara in Very Black
This MUA palette was the first eyeshadow palette I brought and for £4 it's such a great bargain. It mostly consists of shimmer eyeshadows but it works perfectly for so many looks. My favourite colours are Shy (top row, third from left), Tranquil (bottom row, first from left) & Wink (bottom row, fourth from left). The eyebrow pencil works well enough for a drugstore item and I'll probably repurchase. My favourite makeup item is always mascara and as I have quite long and full eyelashes Im quite fussy with my mascara. This one I recently brought and have been trying out, as I've previously used the Colossal mascara I thought I'd like this one too, however I find it really wet and struggle to get it on my lashes without it clumping. I'm hoping it will improve and will be giving it another go, but it doesn't live up to my expectations.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist
This lip product is one I wear almost every day. It's the perfect nude and gives your lips a lovely shine without a lip gloss feel to them. It smells lovely and goes on smoothly. When I'm wearing my every day makeup I rarely wear anything else on my lips as I like to keep it simple, and this item is always in my handbag.
So this is the final look. It's nothing special, but that's why it's my everyday makeup. I like to look natural but still cover my imperfections whilst keeping it simple and quick.
I'd love to hear any make up recommendations you guys have for oily or pale skin. If you've done an everyday make up post or video please leave me a link so I can check it out as I'm super nosey and love seeing what makeup people use!
