When I started blogging in March I had no idea how big and amazing the blogging community was, or how many amazing blogs there were out there. I still keep finding new blogs that I love regularly, however for me it's the people behind the blogs that I end up loving, they bring personality to their posts and I love seeing a little snippet of peoples lives. I also love being able to chat to bloggers on twitter and get to know people a bit better.
Throughout 2014 I've stumbled across a few blogs that have grabbed my attention and made their way into my Must Read list! For various reasons these blogs are ones I always check and try to keep up to date on, and I figured as it's Follow Friday I'd share my favourite blogs of 2014 with you. All of these blogs and the women behind them are amazing and I definitely recommend following their twitters and checking out their blogs! First up, and in no particular order is...
I've been following Hannah almost since I started blogging, and i'd like to think of her as a friend. She's someone I would turn to if I was upset or wanted some advice and she's just so sweet and lovely. Hannah mostly blogs about beauty with regular lifestyle posts thrown in. I love catching up on her month with her 'My month in photos' posts, and always read her reviews and have brought products on her recommendation. She's a star!
Vicky writes the posts I wish I could, and you can tell this girl is a journalism student, she writes so well! From feminism to smokey eyes, personal thoughts to travel, she's got it covered and she doesn't apologise for having an opinion! Everything she writes I want to read, she's strong and confident and is doing so well for herself and inspires me to be a better blogger, to make the most of any opportunities and to push myself to achieve. If you follow her I promise you won't regret it, and she got Dapper Laughs banned from her Uni, show her some love!
Rachael is currently spending a year studying in Canada, and I am very jealous, while studying harder than I ever have in my life she's still managing to keep up with blogging. Rachael posts beauty reviews, lifestyle updates, outfit post and student tips, all with great photos. Her friendly and bubbly personality really comes through on her blog and she just seems like the sort of person you'd want to be friends with. I love to read all of her posts to get a little insight into her life. I also love her reviews as they always feel very believable.
What I love about Hazel is how honest, emotional and personal she is with all of her posts. She makes you feel as if she's just talking to you and from talking to her on twitter now and then I can tell you she is lovely, friendly and encouraging. Hazel Jane focuses on lifestyle posts, talking about fitness or travel among other things, and she has some amazing recipes! Her writing flows so well she really is a natural writer. I love reading her Sleepy Sunday posts, and she's recently written a Self Confidence Series which was so great to read, once again honest and personal, but still encouraging and inspiring. Go have a nosy yourself, you won't be disappointed!
Katie is sassy, sarcastic and hilarious. She loves lists and gifs and together these make for some of the greatest posts I've read. I love that she talks about feminism, and body positivity, but in such a down to earth and laid back way. She's just saying exactly what's in her mind and I love it. Also her posts are so easy and quick to read, but they get the point across and they're smart and funny. Some of my favourite posts are; Sk8er boys and prissy girls, Lets get real(er) about blogging & My list of demands. I even loved her blog so much I 'stole' an idea from her!
I love reading student blogs and Chloe has one of the best student blogs out there in my opinion. Most of her posts are based on the student lifestyle, whether thats reviews on products useful for students, easy recipes, advice on different aspects of student life, budget beauty buys more suited to a student budget. She also keeps us up to date with her life with regular personal posts, and she's my go to blog for anything student related. If you're at uni, or heading there soon make sure to follow Chloe!
Robowecop is a blog I've more recently fell in love with. Rhianna writes about beauty, lifestyle, fashion, baking and healthy living, she also writes about her struggle with anxiety and how she's coping with it. This is one of the reasons I think Rhianna and her blog are so great, as someone who suffers with anxiety and is still learning how to cope with it, hearing about Rhianna's experiences and seeing how well she is coping has been such an inspiration for me, knowing someone has been in a similar situation to me and has got herself to a much better place is really encouraging. She's just an awesome person with an awesome blog and you should definitely be following her!
So those are some of my favourite blogs of 2014, let me know if you follow any of them, and also let me know your favourite blogs as Im always looking for new things to read!
